DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT)

GENERAL

The field of information technology places itself in a very important position in the world Communication arena. The IT Department was established in 2001 with an intake of 45. Recently AICTE has approved to raise the intake to 60. The students’ academic performance is very excellent at the University examinations as they got more number of distinctions and more first classes. This has put them in an advantageous position in getting placements at reputed organizations.

IT DEPT’S OBJECTIVE

The essential objective of the Department is to make the future IT professional and equip them competently in the highly competed IT professional world. To this orientation the Department takes every effort to train them so that their independent skills would get enhanced in developing software and hardware application.

COMPUTER CENTRE

We have 60 Pentium IV high end computers with all accessories and peripherals in the centralized air conditioned Computer Centre. All the computers are fully loaded with required Software and packages. The computer Lab has been provided with high speed Internet facility. In future it will be converted as broad band Internet connection.

STUDENTS AND TEACHERS ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

The department itself has conducted National level symposium in March 2005. Teachers and Students academic activity already some of the staff members and students, with a pursuit concerning research have participate National and International seminars.
